A tool for the energy & financial optimization of the renovation of school buildings was developed based on an existing tool - ASCOT. The tool combines an energy calculation with a LCC-analysis, which are calculated simultaneously. The tool was then used for the screening of energy saving measures in school buildings in four European countries: Denmark, Germany, Italy and Norway.
