Since 2004, the National Agency for the New Technologies, Energy and Environment (ENEA) has started a participation to the Expert Group on Fuel Cycle Transition Scenarios Studies (FCTS) under the auspices of the Working Party on Scientific Issues of the Fuel Cycle (WPFC) of OECD/NEA. The studies are aimed at analyzing national and regional scenarios of various nuclear fuel cycles, and carrying out a benchmark to compare different scenarios codes. The benchmark cases identified and proposed by the WPFC-FCTS, have been analyzed with the CEA COSI6 code, and the results are here presented and discussed.
