Within the framework of the CATHARE-NEPTUNE 2004 International Seminar, held inGrenoble on May 10,11,12 2004, the foreign partners of CUC (CATHARE Users Club) hadan unique opportunity to present their activities with the most recent versions of CATHARE.ENEA has been partner of CUC since 1992 through a collaboration agreement at first with IPSN then with IRSN (Accord Logiciel CATHARE). The activities on the CATHARE code have essentially concerned the safety of Advanced Light Water Reactor and they have been in charge of the FIS-NUC (previously ERG-SIEC) section in Bologna. Such activities have been mostly carryed out in the frame of international projects partially financed by the N and V European Framework Programs (BWRCA , IWCRS , DEEPSSI).In view of a new agreement for the utilization of the most recent CATHARE version (2v2.5) for the study of N Generation Reactors, FIS-NUC took the opportunity to present the activities performed during the two last years on advanced safety systems for ALWR.
