This document was prepared as a Deliverable for Work Package l, in the framework of TECLA (TEChnologies, materials and thermal-hydraulics for 1ead Alloys), the R&D European project on heavy liquid metal technology far ADS. In Work Package 1, the corrosion behaviour of materials in lead alloys is investigated and a relevant aspect of the corrosion assessment is the liquid metal chemistry. This might be affected by the creation of spallation products during the operation of an ADS. Thus, the ca1culation of the types of spallation products and their quantities formed in -lead bismuth is a key action for the structural materials evaluation. Spallation products age formed mainly where the proton beam hits the target but important nuclear interactions occur also in the primary loop.A complete assessment of the quantity in grams of all the residual nuclei in the primary and the target Pb/Bi loops of the ADS-DF (as designed by ANSALDO) has been evaluated by means of the computer codes MCNPX and SP-FISPACT.
