Following the explicit request from the experts of the LEADER WP5 “Safety and transient analysis” to the Coordinator of LEADER WP2 “Core design” for a set of reactivity coefficients for their evaluations, the opportunity has been taken for drawing some considerations, in order to define a new procedure for the evaluation of an effective set of reactivity coefficients, based on the peculiarities of the models implemented in typical system codes for safety analyses, and tailored to embed the most physics of the ALFRED and ELFR cores as possible. The proposed new procedure is here presented, and recommended for use within the LEADER project. According to this procedure, an example of application to the ELFR is also provided in the second part of this report.
