Within the 7th framework of the European Community, UNIfHY project has been founded, aimed at obtaining continuous pure hydrogen production from low cost solid biomass. The project is carried out by a Consortium of international partners (including ENEA) and UTVALAMB_LCA Laboratory is involved in the carrying out the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study according to the Hy-Guide. The purpose of this LCA study is to identify the life cycle phases/processes/components that contribute most to the environmental impact of the new technology and to identify potential improvements. Abstract

Specifically, in this report, marked as “Part 1”, Goal and Scope phase of the LCA study, is described.
