Since the knowledge and the use of LCA by SMEs is a strategic 'step' to introduce IPP policy, ENEA, in cooperation with FEBE EcoLogic, has developed a LCA software - eVerdEE - based on a simplified methodology and specialised for SMEs. eVerdEE is a guided and simplified procedure for the environmental assessment of a product life cycle and it allows a direct comparison of the environmental performances of different design options of a product. This methodology has been tested on a sample of SMEs working in the Furniture and Wood sector, to identify aspects that need further development and to create a sector specific database. The software eVerdEE is part of eLCA Project, coordinated by ENEA with other European partners, that has the main objective to create 'Databases and WEB site for the adoption of Integrated Product Policy by SMEs'.
