FERMI is a seeded Free Electron Laser (FEL) user facility at the ELETTRA-Sincrotrone laboratory (Trieste). This 4th-gen. light source is based on two FELs operating in the high gain harmonic generation mode. The light from a laser is up-converted in frequency and amplified in the VUV to EUV and soft X-rays spectral range. The FERMI FELs are characterized by a number of desirable properties, such as wavelength stability, low temporal jitter and longitudinal coherence. We provide an overview of the FEL performances, and of the various modes of operation for the generation of multiple color multiple pulses. © OSA 2018.

Abstract
© OSA 2018.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
