The Interacting Boson Model (IBM) with broken pairs is extended to include the simultaneous alignment of one neutron and one proton pair. The extended version can be applied in the description of high-spin dipole bands in spherical and transitional nuclei. The model is illustrated on the example of 13660Nd: a consistent theoretical interpretation is found for all observed bands, including the two dipole high-spin structures based on the (ºh11/2)2 (àh11/2)2 configuration.

Abstract
The Interacting Boson Model (IBM) with broken pairs is extended to include the simultaneous alignment of one neutron and one proton pair. The extended version can be applied in the description of high-spin dipole bands in spherical and transitional nuclei. The model is illustrated on the example of 13660Nd: a consistent theoretical interpretation is found for all observed bands, including the two dipole high-spin structures based on the (ºh11/2)2 (àh11/2)2 configuration.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
