The present report summarizes the current understanding of the PHEBUS FP FPT2 experiment. The performed analysis is based on the experience of different ICARE2 calculations performed by ENEA and IRSN, also using an alternative porous medium approach to simulate the heat transfer in the bundle. The ICARE2 code capability to describe the main phenomena of the experiment and the remaining issues regarding the code modeling are outlined.
