This report describes the validation ofthe TORT deterministic transport code, distributed with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Package DOORS-3.2, on a Linux platforrn with the Red Hat Linux 9.0 operative system. This validation was perforrned in September 2004. ' , , The twelve TORT reference test cases were run and the output files were systematically compared with the corresponding reference output files (included in DOORS-3.2) resulting from a run on an IBM Workstation under UNIx. Moreover the X-Y-Z ENEA-Bologna computational model to simulate the neutron shielding VENUS-3 benchmark experiment was run in order to compare the Linux platforrn results with the reference ones. The comparison leads to the conclusion that the TORT code cali be considered validated on such platforrn and cali be used for complex transport calculations.

Abstract
The comparison leads to the conclusion that the TORT code cali be considered validated on such platforrn and cali be used for complex transport calculations.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
