This document presents the results of pre-test calculations aimed at verifying the functional behaviour of the heat exchanger to be installed in the CIRCE facility of ENEA/Brasimone in the framework of the experimental program ICE. Such heat exchanger represents a testing mock-up of the W-DHR heat exchanger implemented in the ELSY lead-cooled reactor design for emergency decay heat removal. The pre-test calculations have been caor thermal-hydraulic analyses in lead- and LBE-cooled nuclear reactors.
