EUROFASTNET means European project for Future Advances in Sciences and Technology for Nuclear Engineering Thermal-Hydraulics. Starting by an exhaustive review of the industrial needs for the next ten years and after a state of the art in the relevant fields, new avenues of research in physical modelling, numerical techniques, and experimental investigations, will be defined. The point of view of the industry, the utilities, the R&D institutes, the safety institutes, and research laboratories of Universities are considered. This Concerted Action will result in a common understanding on what are the key problems and which R&D work should be initiated to solve them. It will give rise to an enhanced European co-operation for present and future development work.
