This report describes the results of pre-test calculations which were based on the conditions proposed in the original test matrix. The ELSA and VICTORIA codes were used to perform the calculations. The calculations conducted with ELSA were mainly concerned with the RSP experiments that were directly related to the Phebus FP tests. The approach used for the studies with VICTORIA was more generic, in that it considered fission product release and speciation over a range of temperatures, and with a variety of atmospheres. The results are presented in terms of release fractions, volatile fission product release, and speciation.
