This report contains the software architecture definition and the database description to be applied to collect ORE work effort data coming from the experience acquired at JET. After a brief recap of the methodology applied for ORE analysis and having identified the applicable use cases, the report concentrates on the design of the software architecture. The approach of mapping the different user needs to corresponding software components has been followed to better decompose and distribute the responsibilities among stakeholders. The subsequent discussion on database technologies proposes the language and engine to be used for this task. Eventually, the design of the actual database follows with the discussions of the records to be stored in tables and attributes and their relationships, employing the standard entity-relationship diagram as a guiding line in the discussion. The implementation of this design, the integration of the actual data coming from JET, and the migration of the previous data collected are discussed.
