This report, prepared in the frame of the contract n. 31000122 (Validation d'ASTEC sur TMI2) with IRSN, deals with the results of the analysis of the phase 1 of TMI-2 accident performed by ENEA with ASTEC V1 code.For ASTEC V1 code validation purposes, the results have been compared to TMI-2 data and ICARE/CATHARE code results. Accident scenario, plant modelling and boundary conditions bave been defined according to ICARE/CATHARE analysis in order to better compare the results of the two codes.The capability of ASTEC V1 to simulate the phase 1 of the TMI-2 accident has been proven. The results of ASTEC V1 code bave been found in general agreement with TMI-2 data and ICARE/CATHARE results.
