This document deals with the safety assessment relative to the LFR (Lead-cooled Fast Reactor) technology with focus on the identification of the safety issues, as emerging from the related projects, namely ELSY (European Lead-cooled System) and LEADER (Lead-cooled European Advanced Demonstration Reactor). The reference configuration to be addressed is the ALFRED (Advanced Lead Fast Reactor European Demonstrator) project, as the European LFR demonstrator. This report constitutes the deliverable D2.2 "LFR safety features ' of the Sargen _IV proj ect, which has the objective to propose a harmonized European methodology for the safety assessment of innovative reactors with fast spectrum under design in Europe.
