In ESNII strategy toward GEN IV demonstrators specific attention is given to the development of structural materials and innovative fuels which are needed to sustain high fast neutron fluxes and high temperatures, as well as to comply with innovative reactor coolants. It is important to emphasize that the development and qualification of new fuels and materials require a significant R&D effort in terms of resources and time and they will constitute also a major pathway for future innovation in fast neutron reactors beyond demonstration and prototype phases. At European Level, important R&D programs are dedicated to the material issue in Transmutation and Generation IV reactor systems. Among the various Project, MATTER - "MATerials TEsting and Rules " intends to perform research studies on the materials behavior in GEN IV operational conditions and to find out criteria for the correct use of these materials in reactor applications.

Abstract
Among the various Project, MATTER - "MATerials TEsting and Rules " intends to perform research studies on the materials behavior in GEN IV operational conditions and to find out criteria for the correct use of these materials in reactor applications.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
