This report is part of ENEA contribution to the SARNET2 WP8 Project Benchmark on PHEBUS FPT3 Experiment. Validation of codes ASTEC and MELCOR over FPT3 test were performed. Calculations were done on bundle degradation, fission products (FPs) release, hydrogen production and FPs transport and deposition in the primary circuit, taking into account the effect of boron carbide control rod over all phenomena. Calculations were performed with different versions of both codes and the results were compared between different codes and versions as well as with experimental data.
