This document is the final reports of the contract ENEA ENEL n° 8400017131 (Servizio di studio preliminare dei dispositivi antisismici del sistema di isolamento dell’EPR). The contract was aimed at developing a feasibility study of the seismic isolation of the EPR nuclear island, in order to ensure seismic protection of the nuclear plants in those sites characterized by peak ground acceleration in the horizontal direction up to 0.5g and soft soil. This note contains a summary of the results of the activities performed in the different tasks. It includes also the hypotheses, the state of the art and the results of the preliminary design of the seismic isolation system of the EPR. In it all the information regarding the characteristic of the device selected are collected, including technical specifications, dimensions and layout. The report also describes the methodologies used to model the devices and implement it into the Finite Element Model of the structure, together with the numerical analyses methods and results obtained.
