This report presents the activities performed in the frame of LP1, Objective B (Safety assessment and accident consequences evaluation), task B2-2 of PAR 2015, ADP ENEA-MSE. The study touches on the comparative assessment between active and passive systems for the development and design of new advanced reactors. The study is aimed at developing the methodical approach for the comparative assessment at the system level in terms of performance and reliability aspects.
