The present report describes the current design and specifications of the ALFRED core. ALFRED (Advanced Lead-cooled Fast Reactor European Demonstrator) was initially conceived within the EURATOM FP7 LEADER (2010-2014) project. Since then, it is now being developed by the FALCON (Fostering ALFRED Construction) international consortium, signed by Ansaldo Nucleare, ENEA, RATEN-ICN (Romania) and CVR (Czech Republic). In this context, the design of the core has been revised and optimized by ENEA as part of the activities foreseen in the frame of the “Accordo di Programma” (Programmatic Agreement) between the Italian Ministry for Economic Development and ENEA.

Abstract
The present report describes the current design and specifications of the ALFRED core. ALFRED (Advanced Lead-cooled Fast Reactor European Demonstrator) was initially conceived within the EURATOM FP7 LEADER (2010-2014) project. Since then, it is now being developed by the FALCON (Fostering ALFRED Construction) international consortium, signed by Ansaldo Nucleare, ENEA, RATEN-ICN (Romania) and CVR (Czech Republic). In this context, the design of the core has been revised and optimized by ENEA as part of the activities foreseen in the frame of the “Accordo di Programma” (Programmatic Agreement) between the Italian Ministry for Economic Development and ENEA.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
