A semi-analytical model of self-amplified spontaneous-emission free-electron lasers (SASE-FEL), including diffraction and pulse-propagation effects was discussed. A simple formula demanding for two fit parameter, capable of reproducing the SASE dynamics was presented. A qualitative formula yielding dependence of the final output power on the global inhomogeneous function was studied. Analysis shows that the inclusion of pulse propagation effects was accomplished by embedding the slippage dynamics and the logistics equation.

Abstract
A semi-analytical model of self-amplified spontaneous-emission free-electron lasers (SASE-FEL), including diffraction and pulse-propagation effects was discussed. A simple formula demanding for two fit parameter, capable of reproducing the SASE dynamics was presented. A qualitative formula yielding dependence of the final output power on the global inhomogeneous function was studied. Analysis shows that the inclusion of pulse propagation effects was accomplished by embedding the slippage dynamics and the logistics equation.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
