Presented in this paper are the most recent studies performed in Italy on innovative anti-seismic techniques, in the framework of an ongoing project, partly funded by the European Commission (EC). More precisely, after summarising the general objectives, programmes and achievements of such a project (REEDS), this paper deals with the main features and results of detailed numerical analyses carried out for viscous, viscoelastic and elastic-plastic energy dissipators, as well as an innovative rolling isolation system and structure mock-ups provided with the aforesaid dissipators.

Abstract
Presented in this paper are the most recent studies performed in Italy on innovative anti-seismic techniques, in the framework of an ongoing project, partly funded by the European Commission (EC). More precisely, after summarising the general objectives, programmes and achievements of such a project (REEDS), this paper deals with the main features and results of detailed numerical analyses carried out for viscous, viscoelastic and elastic-plastic energy dissipators, as well as an innovative rolling isolation system and structure mock-ups provided with the aforesaid dissipators.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
