Callus production from leaf explants of Azadirachta excelsa (Jack) Jacobs was favoured by MURASHIGE and SKOOG medium supplemented with indole-3-butyric acid (IBA)(4mg/l) and 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP)(1mg/l). When the concentration of BAP was increased to 2 mg/l, shoot regeneration was induced. The histological analysis revealed the simultaneous occurrence of organogenesis and embryogenesis in the callus. © 2018 Società Botanica Italiana onlus.
