This report describes the post-test analysis performed with the RELAP5 code of the experimental campaign conducted in the HE-FUS3 loop (CR BRASIMONE) within the framework of the ENEA/MSE research program (AdP ENEA/MSE) in order to provide an experimental data base for the assessment of thermal-hydraulic codes for HTR and VHTR design and safety analysis. The numerical simulations have been carried out with the RELAP5 model used for the pre-test phase with the main objective to identify the necessary code developments and model improvements that are planned during the second year of the AdP. Besides this, the post-test analysis has provided an evaluation of the experimental transients performed that has allowed identifying the needs in term of further tests and additional instrumentation for the future experimental programs.
