A combined application for breast cancer detection was described. Imaging probe (IP) was put inside a Fisher digital stereotactive device prepared for mammotome biopsy, so biopsy was driven by X-ray stereotaxis and 99mTc-Sestamibi (MIBI) images from IP. High-resolution IP scintigraphy showed substantial matching between MIBI hot spots and X-ray opacities.
