Current knowledge on Neuropterida of the Lepini Mountains (Lazio, Central Italy). Twenty years after a preliminary contribution to the knowledge of Neuropterida in the Lepini Mountains, the present work summarizes what we know up to now about the distribution of these insects in this specific district. Currently, 26 species of Neuropterida, belonging to 9 families, are known for the Lepini Mountains, a relatively small number of species comparing to other mountain ranges in Central Italy due to the lack of specific studies on this group of insects in this area. Nevertheless, the presence of significant population of peculiar species, e.g. the pleasing lacewing Dilar parthenopaeus A. Costa, 1855 (Dilaridae) with its brachypterous female, represents a valid reason for further investigations. Moreover, Coniopteryx esbenpeterseni Tjeder, 1930 (Coniopterygidae) is recorded from Lazio for the first time.

Abstract
Current knowledge on Neuropterida of the Lepini Mountains (Lazio, Central Italy). Nevertheless, the presence of significant population of peculiar species, e.g. the pleasing lacewing Dilar parthenopaeus A. Costa, 1855 (Dilaridae) with its brachypterous female, represents a valid reason for further investigations. Moreover, Coniopteryx esbenpeterseni Tjeder, 1930 (Coniopterygidae) is recorded from Lazio for the first time.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
